Garden poly pipe
Garden Poly Pipe is the generic term used for low density, low pressure poly pipe. This low pressure pipe is used to move water around the garden or turf areas to supply sprinklers, drippers & sprays. Low density garden poly pipe is usually black or brown to blend in with the soil. Note that low density poly pipe has a maximum operating pressure of 300 kPa and town main pressure will often exceed this. A pressure regulator must be installed to prevent pressure blow-outs.
Garden poly pipe is manufactured in several diameters and typically you would use 13mm or 19 mm for short runs of up to 25 meters. If you need longer runs or if you are going to use the one garden poly line to supply more than 3 sprinklers or sprays, the 25mm diameter poly should be used.
